Happy Thanksgiving..She Almost Said It Herself.

Happy Thanksgiving! Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday! We all know we have a lot to be thankful for this year. Kay's recovery has been amazing and she continues to fight everyday!

Yesterday was an awesome day for Kay. The nurses took the tubes to her trach out and covered it up and had Kay practice talking. She was able to say "Hi Devin". She was probably so glad to talk, we know she's been frustrated. We know Devin was glad to hear her voice again!

Last night Kay & Devin turned up the music in their room as they typically do on a Friday evening. Devin was elated because Kay was able to mouth the words to a Sara McLaughlin song for 30-40 seconds. She remembered it all, what a ham!

Thanksgiving may be ending, but let's not all forget how lucky we are! Continue to keep Kay, Devin & her family in her thoughts.

More updates later this weekend...

We Love You Kay!

Hey Mama!

It was so wonderful to finally see you again tonight! I was so happy to see your beautiful eyes and dimples again.

I know it was frustrating for you not to be able to talk but you will be able to soon enough! You did great at getting your point across though. I knew what you were thinking!

I'll be back again tomorrow!

I love you! Your progress is so amazing. I'm so proud of you!

I love you!

So proud of you !
Sometimes we appreciate things more when we can't enjoy them for a while and through your challenge you have given us all cause to reflect and appreciate a little more.

Kay,
It was so amazing to see you on Wednesday and how far you have come. Eben and I were so excited to see your beautiful hazel eyes, dimples and your smile. We can't wait to see you again and the wonderful progress you have made.

The nurses we met really know what they are doing and told us everything that they do with you throughout the day...it was great to hear about the amazing care and help you are receiving. Gotta say, you must be exhausted...they have got you working! Take all the time you need to heal...we are all here for you.

Sorry that we missed seeing you Devin and the O'Meara's, we were wishing to see some, if not all of you too. Please know that we are sending our love to you all and are praying for not only Kay but all of you daily.

Stay Strong! We are so proud of you! We Love You Kay!

All our love,
Brooke & Eben

Kay,
It was so great to see you and Devin yesterday. When I saw you I was truly amazed! I had been unable to see you in the last two weeks because of my cold and I can't believe how much you have progressed!!! You are an amazing girl Kay, and you have an amazing husband by your side and of course an amazing family as well. All of our prayers are being answered and we have so much to be grateful for and we will continue to pray for you. You keep on fighting! Love you, Josephine
