Kay is officially out of the NICU and on to rehab!
She had another great day and her transport went great. She was a bit tired afterwards...that's a lot of action for her.
Just wait until tomorrow....intensive therapy begins right away! She'll have 3 hours of therapy in the morning and then more therapy in the afternoon. The doctors will work on physical and occupational therapy. She's getting the royal treatment!
Because Kay has busy days ahead of her and she will not have visitors with her all day every day we will probably update the blog weekly or a few times a week.
Please continue to leave Kay your messages of support. At the rate she is progressing she'll be reading this website on her own in no time.
We'll let you know how rehab is going in a few days! Keep praying for Kay!
We Love You Kay!

Kay,
Great News! Sean and I just got back from vacation and were not able to check in all week but you were in our thoughts all weekend. We talked about you a lot and I couldn't wait to get online to check out your status - even at 1:15 AM. We are so happy and cannot wait until you are shining completely - although it seems like you are.
Love,
Danielle Cassalle and Sean Hurson

You have done so well in such a short time. But...none of us expected anything less. Love you Kay - the strenuous hard work begins now - but with you that won't be a problem. Keep those spirits up...although we will allow you some lows but many more highs. Keep that sparkle in your eyes and you will be home in no time. I will come visit soon! Want to see those muscles on my cousin! Love always!

Hi Kay!
I'm just sitting here wondering how you're doing in Rehab. I know it's going to be difficult, but you have the determination and support to get yourself strong and blow that popcorn stand before we know it!
As much as we all want to hear the news that you are going home, we can wait if it means forward progress every day. You dont need to make giant leaps every day, small steps are good too.
The support and thoughts and prayers and love from all of us is endless.
You go girl!!
Kim Costella
