She Can Read!!

Kay's progression just keeps coming and coming!

This evening Devin & Stephen were working with Kay and wrote down her family's names on a pad. Kay was able to read the pad and mouth everyone's names! Amazing!

She was also able to identify her dad when he was speaking to her on the phone!

Kay's progress just continues to improve. She's working hard in rehabilitation and it shows!

We're so proud of her hard work! Please continue to leave your words of encouragement for her, it will keep her strong when the going gets tough!

More rehab updates to come later in the week!

We love you Kay!

Kay and Devin,
We're all loving the progress we keep reading. Therapy will be tiresome, just keep your chin up and take it at your own pace (actually, as we all know you have 2 speeds, fast or hyper drive). We all know you'll be back on your feet in no time.
Keep up the great work.
Love
Lainey and family

What happened last night was incredible. Stephen came in with a great ID. He warmed her up by fixing her nails and before you know it she was reading off names with ease - Genius move!!

KAY-
I was so excited to read about your progress. You are doing wonderful. You have an incredible husband and family. I so look forward to reading this blog each morning.

I keep saying it but it is amazing how many people you have touched.

Life is such a gift and each day should be treated that way. Not one breath should be wasted. I thank God, that you have been given a second chance. You are a miracle.

Love, Linda Tritto

Hey Girl,

First, thank you God for all the blessing you are giving to Kay each day!!!

Second, I wonder has anyone warned Mt. Sinai what they are in for? Can you imagine when they remove that trach and start to speak you piece once again!!!!.

Third, I hope that those physical therapist have been resting up and getting ready to keep up with your energy once you really get going...

Sweetie, we are all so happy for the progress you are making and of course Devin and your family have just been wonderful, brave, loving and supporting. YAHOOOOOO!!!!

See you soon.

Love ya....
