She's Definitely Kay!

Kay's sassy personality is alive!

This weekend as Kay had many visitors Devin, understandably, wanted to show off his wife's incredible progress. Friday evening as he was trying to get Kay to show some visitors how she could read names she motioned for Devin to come closer to him as if she was going to whisper something to him. To his surprise she playfully gave him a little punch in the cheek, just like the ones she typically gives him in the forehead! It was Friday evening, who wants to read!

Kay is also able to read some posters in her room that Cindy put up for her. She continues to read and be able to respond to others by mouthing responses or smiling. We're even able to see her gorgeous dimples now!

Kay has been able to get out of bed, with the help of her nurses, but not without trying to do it on her own. She was also able to sit in a wheel chair for a while the other evening and get out of bed for a shower yesterday.

Kay's progress continues to be amazing and it wonderful to see more and more of that vibrant personality we all love.

We all have something wonderful to be thankful for! Please continue to support Kay through her rehabilitation. She is working incredibly hard...we didn't expect anything less from someone as strong and determined as Kay!

We Love You Kay!

Key, the entire nursing program is so glad to hear your conntinuous progress,, and we still miss you tremendously. You are in our minds every single day,,, It is even scarry how much you are in our minds, for the past couple of weeks I see people in school that look like you, and my attention draws to that person and I realize its just another person,, I wish one of them would be you.
We miss you,,keep up the fight,,,,

Hello there gorgeous!

You continue to be in my prayers and on my mind. It was wonderful to see on Friday when I visited. Although you were sleeping pretty soundly for sometime, I waited to you woke up which was really worth the wait. I saw those dimples surface when you smiled and I can't say how happy I was to see for myself how well you are doing.

When you read this someday sooner probably then we all think is possible, I want you to know what a gem Devin has been. He was spilling over with joy when I got there and we had alot of time to talk before you woke up and he is just so happy to have his Kay coming back to him. Girl you are blessed with lots of love from him and all of your family as well.

Keep up the good work girl!!! We love you.

Kathleen,

It is pretty tough now that it is Thanksgiving. You started such a fantastic tradition in our family declaring the Thanksgiving holiday your day to host for the past couple of years. We chuckled at your pre-thanksgiving menu e-mails and were somewhat bewildered by your modern meal interpretations. You always classed it up with the dollar scratch off's under our plates! What great memories we have in our hearts and right now we all would pretty much trade everything to be at that table on Cove Road laughing and reminiscing.

You are doing well and we are thankful to God for this. Thanksgiving has been well defined for us, more so this year than all others. We continue to pray and celebrate each step in your recovery and are steadfast in our support. We are going to shoulder this with you little sister for as long as it takes. You set the pace.

Go mbĂodh biseach ort gan mhoill.

Love
Stephen
